A 1990 letter from Avila Kilmurray of the Belfast Women's Centre to a member of the Lisburn Women's Group relating to a complaint over comments made by a member of the Women's Centre regarding the alleged political affiliations of the Rape Crisis Centre. The letter clarifies their position: "It has long been the established policy of both the Northern Ireland Women's Rights Movement and the Women's Centre to refrain from making comments on the alleged political affiliations, or otherwise, of any women's organisations."
