Typewritten press release from the Art & Research Exchange (ARE), for an exhibition titled “Identities” by
Northern Ireland Women’s Artists Group, based at 22 Lombard St, Belfast – this was the first exhibition by the group which formed in April 1987 to cater for women working in the visual arts. Contains a list of exhibitors, including: Fionna Barber, Anne Carlisle, Lynne Davies-Jones, Jenny Kennedy, Moira McIver, Rosemary McManus, Catherine McWilliams, Nicola Russell, Elaine Thomas and Louise Walsh.
