Scope and Content:
Photographs of a
Peace People delegation making a procession from North Korea to the demilitarised zone between it and South Korea. The delegation included Nobel Peace Laureate Máiread Maguire and Ann Patterson, as part of 30 female peacemakers from 12 countries comprising Women Cross DMZ. Key figures include Nobel laureate Leymah Gbowee, retired US army colonel Ann Wright and American feminist author Gloria Steinem. Also includes a photograph of Mairead Maguire and Ann Patterson at Seoul International Women's Peace Symposium.
