Scope and Content:
A 1985 submission of the
Northern Ireland Women's Rights Movement to the Stormont Assembly titled ‘The Proposed Changes in Social Security Legislation in the Green Paper’, 13pp. The submission presents criticisms of, and recommendations for a number of proposals regarding social security that could impact women living in Northern Ireland; including Family Credit, the abolition and replacement of the Supplementary Benefit System with the Income Support Scheme, and insufficient Maternity Grants and Child Benefit sums.
