Scope and Content:
Extract from a script for a shared history project titled, 'We Were Brothers,' by Irish playwright, Felicity McCall. The play was based on the Battle of Messines in 1917 when Ulster soldiers and Irish Battalions of the British fought together to liberate Belgium from German occupation. McCall's play promoted reconciliation through an understanding of a shared history. Full script available to view upon request at the Linen Hall Library.
