Judith was appointed Deputy Chief Constable in June 2009, becoming the second highest ranking police officer in Northern Ireland. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2012, and a C.B.E. in the 2014 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to policing and the community in Northern Ireland. She retired from the P.S.N.I. on 31st March 2014.
