Scope and Content:

Photocopy of a typewritten report published by the Equal Opportunities Commission for Northern Ireland (EOC) in 1977, titled "Education in Schools - A Consultative Document." The report contains a response from the EOC to "The Green Paper" proposals on improvements to the education system in Northern Ireland, and discusses the curriculum, teachers, and school and working life. It concludes that more should be done regarding the issue of sex discrimination and inequality in schools.
