Scope and Content:

A card to mark International Women's Day, 1984. The inside of the card contains the lyrics to a song by Peggy Seeger called 'Women in the Welfare State' which centre's on themes of poor socio-economic conditions amongst working-class women during former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's term in parliament.
