Carol Moore is an actor, director, and filmmaker, and was a co-founder of the ground-breaking Charabanc Theatre Company. Her acting career includes work with many leading local theatre companies including Charabanc, Kabosh, the Lyric Theatre, Tinderbox, and Brassneck.
As a filmmaker, her first short film Gort an gCnamh won four awards in 1998 including Best First Time Director at the Celtic Film Festival and Foyle Film Festival. Carol was awarded a NESTA fellowship in 2005 which enabled her to explore and develop her ideas surrounding cultural diversity in Northern Ireland through her practice of theatre and film making.
In 2018, Carol was awarded a Major Individual Award by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, to produce and preview her play The Experience of Women. This one woman show celebrates women aging, and the wisdom and experience that comes with it.
