Scope and Content:

Paper, "Time for Me" delivered by Pauline Murphy at a Vocational Training for Women: New Technologies and Non-Traditional Fields conference in Kilmainham, Dublin, 23/24th September 1991. The paper suggests that women's education initiatives should be centred around the reality of women's lives in order to be successful. It discusses the Northern Ireland context, training programmes for women, barriers to returning to education and training, guidance and counselling in outreach courses, a certificate in Information Technology course, and appendices featuring statistics about student demographics, achievements, evaluation and course outlines.
