Scope and Content:
A postcard featuring the cover image of Sheena Wilkinson's novel
Star by Star (2017). The historical story for children and young adults is set in 1918 Belfast during the close of the Great War, and amidst the Spanish flu epidemic. It follows the story of 15 year old Stella, the daughter of a suffragette, during a time when select women in Ireland were about to get the vote for the first time. The book won the Honour Award for Fiction and was also shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards in 2021.
