Tinderbox Theatre Company is an award-winning touring theatre company, based in Belfast. They were founded in 1988 to develop, commission, and produce innovative and challenging theatre plays and live performances. Some notable plays they have produced include Girls and Dolls by Lisa McGee (2006), This Love Thing by Marina Carr (1991), Ruby by Marie Jones (2000), and Convictions, performed in Crumlin Road Courthouse (2000). Tinderbox Theatre Company also provides professional expertise to support emerging and established playwrights and offers Playground and Play Machine programmes and workshops to empower and inspire the individual and liberate the imagination.
