The posters in this online collection have been selected from the Linen Hall Library’s expansive Theatre & Performing Arts archive and cover a wide-ranging period from the 1980s through to the 2000s. Many of the posters featured in this representative sample publicise notable plays written and directed by acclaimed female playwrights and directors including Marie Jones, Sue Ashby, Brenda Winter, Pam Brighton, Carol Moore, Eleanor Methven, Janice Jarvis and Zoe Seaton.

The poster collection also highlights plays produced by Northern Ireland based theatre companies including Big Telly Theatre Company, Replay Theatre, Charabanc Theatre Company and DubbleJoint Productions.

Venues of note featured in the selection include the Lyric Theatre, the Grand Opera House, the Old Museum Arts Centre, and the Crescent Arts Centre.
