This archive was kindly donated by Carol Moore, who coordinated and acted as creative consultant for Red Lead Arts, a production company specialising in community theatre and arts engagement. The material primarily relates to a notable production: The Liverpool Boat, a play about the experiences of people who emigrated to Liverpool in 1969, directed by Carol Moore, and written by Belfast playwright Marie Jones, and Liverpool based writer Maurice Bessman. Other ephemera relates to an art project informed by research into icebergs in Newfoundland by artist Rita Duffy, and a Moving Out/ Moving On community project to challenge issues of racism and generate discussion about migrant experiences in Northern Ireland. Includes posters, newspaper clippings, programmes, photographs, and copies of emails, dating from 2003-2005. |
